The SW-822C is a pointed foam tip cleaning swab with a compact closed-cell polyurethane foam head bonded to a polypropylene handle, designed for precision residue removal and solvent application in inkjet printer maintenance, optical instrument cleaning, and hard-to-reach area cleaning tasks across industrial and laboratory environments. The pointed tip geometry is the defining functional characteristic of this model: the tapered foam profile concentrates contact on narrow targets such as printer wiper blades, capping station walls, nozzle plate edges, and optical component recesses where flat or wide-head swabs cannot reach without contaminating adjacent surfaces.

The foam head measures 11.5mm in length, 3.2mm in width, and 3.2mm in thickness. The closed-cell foam construction resists tearing under the repeated scrubbing force required to dislodge dried ink deposits and cured adhesive residues from printer head assemblies, which is a common failure point with softer open-cell alternatives. The foam material is free of silicone, amide, and phthalate esters, ensuring that no contaminating additives are transferred to cleaned optical or electronic surfaces during use.

The foam absorbs cleaning solvent rapidly and holds it against the target surface during the scrubbing pass, releasing the dissolved ink or residue rather than spreading it. Low NVR characteristics ensure that the foam does not leave a chemical film on nozzle plates or optical surfaces after solvent evaporation, which is critical for maintaining print head function and optical transmittance after cleaning.

The lint-free foam structure generates no fibers during use.
