Product Overview

The SW-847D is a small flexible head sponge swab with an ultra-soft polyurethane foam head designed for precision cleaning on curved surfaces, contoured housings, and miniature component spaces where rigid foam tips leave contact gaps or risk mechanical damage on delicate substrates. The defining property of this swab is the foam's flexibility and elastic recovery: the head compresses and conforms to the surface geometry under light contact pressure, then returns to its original shape when pressure is released — allowing it to maintain full-surface contact with convex lens edges, curved instrument channels, eyeglass frame joints, and watch movement recesses without the operator needing to change orientation or apply force.

The swab head measures 17mm in length, 6.8mm in width, and 2.8mm in thickness. The 2.8mm thickness is the thinnest foam profile in this sponge-swab series, giving the head a flat, paddle-like geometry that slides into narrow slots and tight inter-component spaces without displacing adjacent parts. Despite its thin profile, the foam maintains good water and oil absorption capacity, with rapid liquid uptake from the surface during contact and secure retention within the foam matrix during the wiping stroke.
