The SW-837B is an acid and alkali resistant polyester swab with a specially formulated corrosion-resistant polyester fiber head and handle rod, designed for direct-contact cleaning tasks in electroplating lines, chemical production facilities, environmental monitoring operations, and industrial wet-process environments where the cleaning agent is a strong acid, strong base, or concentrated inorganic solution that degrades standard polyester and polypropylene swabs on contact. While the SW-826B-75 serves precision analytical and laboratory workflows requiring small-tip access in corrosive conditions, the SW-837B is built for heavier-duty chemical environment cleaning: the shorter, thicker head profile at 9.5mm in length, 3.2mm in width, and 2.8mm in thickness provides greater fiber volume and mechanical strength per contact area than the 1.5mm thin-profile SW-826B-75, enabling firm scrubbing against electroplating tank walls, bath sensor housings, and chemically-exposed equipment surfaces without head deformation under pressure.

The handle rod is manufactured from a specially formulated polyester compound that has been precision-processed to maintain dimensional stability under sustained exposure to sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, chromate solutions, and organic solvents at the concentrations found in active industrial chemical baths. Standard polypropylene handles swell or soften in high-concentration acid and alkali environments, creating a structural failure risk mid-task that the SW-837B's chemical-resistant rod eliminates.
